Directions Independent Living is part of the “Elect Group” which was established in October 2001 by current Managing Director Marc Harding. With a managerial and consultancy background, Marc was aware of a huge gap in the markets supporting both Logistical companies and Social Care services throughout the UK.

The group’s unique selling point was to closely partnership with national private companies and the public sectors in offering employment support services in both permanent and temporary labour. These partnerships allowed our clients to grow dramatically within the UK, it allowed us to grow too, become a major employer all supported by a staff retention and training models.

Directions Independent Living sits right in the heart of all our operations. Perfectly placed, offering semi-independent and supported living services, backed by a wealth of nearly 20 year’s experience supporting social care sectors mainly in residential care, supported living and independent living services for adults, children and young adults.

Elect Groups board and long-standing Senior Management Team (SMT), which encompasses a centralised accounting, IT & HR functions couldn’t be any more prouder of the groups achievements and look forward to another twenty years of putting people first with our addictive passion to support the UK’s social care sectors and communities.
